Smart English!
The innovative Smart English program is designed for people who recognize that English has become the world’s international language, and who want to develop both their speaking and writing skills. Think of Smart English as the language that skilled professionals in business, government, education, media, science, and technology use to communicate with one another (especially when they are working with people from different cultures).
Along with the remarkable technological advances we have witnessed during the early decades of the 21st century, there has emerged a growing awareness, in the United States and around the world, of the need for creating a workforce that is proficient in speaking and writing English. The word proficient does not mean pretentious, long-winded, jargon-filled English. It means the ability to express complex information in professional English — clear, up-to-date language that is natural, direct, and grammatically correct.
The Smart English / Write Smart online program provides the complete package: Smart English training to acquire fluency in conversational English, plus the step-by-step Write Smart 12-Part Blueprint for strong writing skills and ongoing editorial support. https://writesmart.org/courses/
The objective of the Smart English / Write Smart program is simple: make sure that participants can speak and write English with clarity and confidence, regardless of the situation. Of course, we will pay close attention to the problems of pronunciation, vocabulary, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and difficult English idioms. We will rely on up-to-date published material to resolve many of these problems. But we will also use a variety of interesting, multi-media resources that deal with current events in the news — including business, government, social trends, entertainment, and sports.
The Smart English / Write Smart program normally begins with a free 90-minute webinar. If you are interested in scheduling a free online class for your organization — or if you would like to submit a recent example of your organization’s writing for free evaluation and editing (no cost, no obligation) — please complete the information below.
